Paiute Ecosystem Restoration Action Day

Location: - Map It STATUS: Active

This past July 2019, volunteers from Awful’s Gas & Snack, The Temple, and Burners Without Borders organized and ecosystem restoration action day in collaboration with the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe.  We worked with the Natural Resource Department of the PLPT to provide labor on the Numana Wetland Restoration Project as well as assisting with groundskeeping at the Pyramid Lake Visitor Center & Museum.  We had 18 volunteers provide 108 volunteer hours during the workday.

The following day we headed to Fly Ranch to do preparation for Black Rock City as well as allow the Awful’s Gas crew to test out the capacity of their electric vehicles for art transport later in the summer (more stories on that forthcoming!).
