Out of towners give their time to Sabine Pass Residents-Port Arthur News

Richard Scott has been helping the residents of Sabine Pass, Texas for the past month whose homes were destroyed by Ike. Appleton man lends hand in Peru in aftermath of earthquake

Excerpt from Postcrescent.com article: "Green, who continued to study Spanish at his alma mater, the University of California-Santa Barbara, is in his third month of service in Peru with Burners Without Borders. The nonprofit group is associated with Burning Man, an annual event in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada that Green has attended. There, people with a common love of community building through the arts come together to share their talents. In Peru, they're pulling together to help however they can: building schools and brightening them with murals, developing youth groups and constructing homes." Check it out here.
