Building houses with Habitat For Humanity in Reno
Remember
when all that wood on the playa got recycled this year, and handed off
to Habitat For Humanity in Reno, to be turned into low income housing?
Well, they've still got the wood, and the foundations, but the houses
still need to be built--so we decided to help do it.
In Brief:
Burners Without Borders organized a volunteer work weekend February 3-4th to turn playa-donated lumber into homes.
It worked out very well, here's a great news article about it from Reno.
