Ecological Money Program

BWB's Will Ruddick has started an exciting new Ecological Money program in a slum outside of Mombasa Kenya that is improving the quality of life for those who participate. BWB is proud to support this project and will be looking to bring alternative currency programs like these in communities we serve in Peru.

BWB Peru Phase II !!

As many of you know, BWB volunteers answered the call to action in responding to the devastating earthquake that struck Peru on August 15th, 2007. At the close of our operations we welcomed over 350 volunteers and gifted over 54,000 volunteer hours. Yet the assisted formation of Pisco Sin Fronteras is beginning to prove the most substantial impact we've made so far. PSF is now a fully functioning Peruvian NGO, but the support of this community is as important as ever. Find out how you can get involved today!!

Protecting the Amazon by Design

Since 2010 designer Violeta Villacorta has been working with Cofán women artisans in Ecuador and with Peruvian indigenous Amazon communities through the Deep in Forests network, bridging contemporary design with their traditional arts and crafts. Seeing the importance of keeping these areas intact and its cultures thriving to protect their territories, she is collaborating with artisans by creating quality goods to promote their arts and broaden their markets to generate sustainability for their communities.
