Burners Without Borders $6,500 Community Stimulus Package

BWB is excited to announce the  first ever grant recipients program highlighting the strengths and creativity of this community.

BWB will be spreading its wings with projects stretching over 4 continents.  Not only is the geography expansive, these projects provide a wide variety of assistance ranging from solar powered DJ spaceships for kids to permaculture in Botswana.  Please click here to check out  the projects and find out how you can get involved.

BWB ANNOUNCES: FINAL REPORT FOR PERU RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT

BWB is proud to announce a collaboration with a new, Peruvian Non-Profit Organization, Pisco Sin Fronteras (Pisco Without Borders.) This group's formation was inspired by the work of BWB volunteers, and BWB will continue to support the recruitment of volunteers this year.

BACKGROUND: WHAT IS BURNERS WITHOUT BORDERS?

Every summer Burning Man participants (aka Burners) meet in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada to re-engage with our community, and to celebrate shared values of radical self-expression and self-reliance. We celebrate the power of community, honor the importance of art, and enjoy the immediacy of experience. Then we leave - without a trace of our having been there.

But that experience and those values don't get left behind in the desert. They inform who we are, and how we interact with the larger world around us. BWB is a manifestation of what can happen when we take our values off the playa and out into the rest of the world.
